I’m ‘bout to get real annoying about promoting this show.
But in all seriousness, it really would mean the world to us to see as many friends there as possible. We’ll be sharing our favorite stage in the world with our best buddies, Audrey and Elliot Street Lunatic, which is always a treat. We’ll be marveling at our luck because somehow, Empty Orchestra and Gold Motel (Greta from The Hush Sound and her new band) are opening for little ol’ us.
We’ll also be unveiling a few new songs from the full-length album we’ll be recording this summer. If you’ve been to a GWFA show recently, you’ve probably heard one or two of them. We haven’t played them for our home crowd yet, however, so it’ll feel great to let our favorite people know what we’re doing musically these days.
One of the aforementioned songs is one that we haven’t played for literally anyone yet, and we’re especially proud of it. I think it really represents the overall direction(s) we’re heading in with our sound, so it seems only fitting that we unveil it with all of our bestest pals present. I won’t give away much, but I will say this: one of our heavier songs has induced mosh pits in the past. This song is heavier than that song.
I hope to see all of your beautiful faces at The Opera House on Friday. Maybe we can all go get Gus’s breadsticks.
